Monday Motivation: A New Week With 2 Fresh Perspectives

Monday Motivation

There’s nothing worse than waking up on a new Monday in a new week and still feeling like nothing is new. This week’s Monday Motivation focuses on getting up and starting the week right with a new perspective.

There was once a frustrated man who lay in his bed day in and day out, angry at his life, his home, his family, and himself. He desired more from life but was lost in his anger. He would always yell about how every day was the same. He grumbled about never progressing. Finally, his wife came into the bedroom with her arms folded and told him, “Maybe if you got out of bed and actually started doing something rather than complain about it, things would change. It’s a new day.”

Let’s face it: Some people don’t see a new week as a chance to make it happen, to achieve more than last week, or to work to be a better person. Instead, they complain about everything without a plan for how to attack the problem(s). As a result, negativity sets in and they become social spectators of those who face the day with the right mindset.

Monday Motivation: Start The Week With Purpose

The core of your Monday Motivation begins with perspective. In the Bible, Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Consider the following perspectives from this verse for this week’s Monday Motivation:

This is the Lord’s Day, not yours. You live in the space of the Lord. The air, the sun, the rain, the flowers all belong to God. We are just blessed to be in the moment of His creation. Be willing to rejoice in this moment with God. It’s important to remember that many people didn’t wake up the way you did, where you did, with the health you have. This perspective should be more than enough to define your Monday Motivation.

When we look at what we’re doing as living in the experience of being in God’s presence every day we wake up, it’s not just another day, it’s a new day. Consider what you can do to honor God during your day. Better yet, how can you invite the strength of God into your daily challenges? How am I retaining the knowledge that with each new Monday that passes me by, to be thankful I’m still here to see the sunrise and sunset? Finally, how do I motivate others to join me in this journey with God for peace of mind and overall better wellness?

Final Thoughts

One of the biggest challenges of each day begins with who you surround yourself with. Your perspective can be changed based on whatever spirit that person carries. How? If you’re always receiving what’s wrong with the world around you and no positivity on how to change it, what do you think happens to you? Your perspective will change. We need more people who will consider the fact that God has a purpose for you to get up with excitement in your eyes ready to face the day.

A Prayer To Cover Your Monday Motivation This Week

Heavenly Father, as I get through another Monday in this week’s journey, I invite your presence into every moment. I do not see what you see and I don’t hear what you hear, so I trust in your sovereignty. Remind me of your love in every decision. Help me remember to slow down and take in your creation. Whether on a lunch break, or heading home from work, help me slow down to see the sun rays bounce off the ponds, how the snow looks on the trees, and the kids playing in the
