Unique Iced Tea Flavors to Cool You Down

Best Unique Iced Tea Flavors for the Summer

As the weather changes from cold to slightly warmer spring temperatures, so do the beverages that we desire to drink. From simply refreshing to sweet and every flavor in between, there is a wide variety of iced tea flavors you can choose to enjoy during this season.

For those who are new to drinking tea, whether you are grown adults or children, green tea is the best flavor to start with.  Whether you buy green tea from your local grocery store or make it at home from scratch, this flavor is very neutral when it comes to flavor. It does not have to be very sweet, nor does it have to taste bland either. Think of green tea as an earthy type of flavor. If you would like a bit of sweetness or tart taste to your palate, feel free to add a little bit of regular sugar and/or a fresh squeeze of lemon juice to your glass of tea.

Iced Tea Flavors

As the weather is getting warmer, that means it’s time to change the type of beverages that we drink. Here are a few iced cold tea options for you to choose from.

Strawberry Tea

Strawberry tea is a bit more distinct depending on the type of strawberry that you use. If you are using strawberries that are fresh in season, you can expect a refreshing, sweet taste to the end of your palate. If you enjoy sweet drinks during this time to cool you down, feel free to make a nice-sized batch mixed with a little bit of sugar and ice cubes (or chilled in your refrigerator for 1-2 hours). This flavor of tea can be made with fresh strawberries sliced in half or smaller, and if necessary, you can use strawberry juice to substitute whole strawberries as well.

Pineapple Tea

When it comes to pineapple iced tea, this flavor varies depending on where you live. If you live on the West Coast or the South Coast of America, you are sure to have the freshest pineapples for a couple of months. However, if you live in the Midwest or any other area of the country, no worries, there are pineapple substitutes available as well in your local grocery stores.

With the weather becoming warmer, what is your favorite type of tea to drink? Many fruits can be mixed into tea to your liking. Whether you prefer sweet, very sweet, earthy, or neutral flavor, the spectrum of drinking iced tea is to your liking. If you want to experiment with refreshing flavors of tea, you can mix different types of fruit that you like and/or are available in your local area.
