National Donut Day is back this Friday, June 6, and you know what that means: free donuts! Established all the way back in 1938 by The Salvation Army, National Donut Day originally was put together to honor the Donut Lassies, the women who served donuts to soldiers on the front lines during World War I. This year, the Salvation Army will continue the tradition by distributing donuts to veterans and hosting events, such as a donut-eating contest at the National World War I Memorial in Washington, D.C. On top of that, Donut chains around the U.S. are giving out special offers to celebrate this sweet holiday, too, so let’s get into them!
National Donut Day 2025
Dunkin’
At any participating Dunkin‘ location on National Donut Day, they are offering a free classic donut with the purchase of any beverage. This year, though, they’re adding a little something extra. If you’re into merchandise to go along with your sweet treat, they’re teaming up with the lifestyle brand Stoney Clover Lane for a limited-edition line! This will include things like donut-themed pouches, charms, tumblers, and more! It will all be available online and in some stores while supplies last, so I wouldn’t waste any time getting your hands on these items!
Krispy Kreme
For National Donut Day this year, Krispy Kreme is giving away one free donut per customer, and you don’t need to purchase anything else to get this deal! If that was not enough, if you buy any dozen, you can grab a dozen original glazed for just $2!
To take it even further, Krispy Kreme will kick off its 14 Days of Original Glazed starting on June 7 and will run through June 20, with loyalty perks and extra deals. A couple of those deals include a Dozen Original Glazed for 13 centers with the purchase of any dozen on June 13, and a dozen Original Glazed for $2 with the purchase of any dozen, with some lucky customers having the chance to win a year’s worth of free donuts. Fry the Coop: This Chicago-based fried chicken spot is bringing back its Croissant Donut Hot Chicken Sandwich for $6.60 on June 6, so if you’re in the area looking for a different way to celebrate National Donut Day, this is a pretty cool deal.
Lidl: Shoppers at Lidl can get a free glazed donut with any purchase when they use the MyLidl app.
Paris Baguette: Rewards members can get a free sugar mochi donut or a small twisted donut with any purchase. If you’re a new user, you can sign up via the app or website to access the deal.
