This week’s Monday Blessings begin with realizing your breakthrough is as easy as a sunrise. Here’s how: Be unstoppable, because Jesus Christ provides for you.
A man was walking through a park one morning, thinking about all the tasks ahead of him. He thought about the job he just lost, the financial planning for the week, and how to make time for himself to relax. He’s a father, a husband, and a man going through a lot. Everyone has been there one way or another.
As he continued to walk, he looked over at the sun as its rays were breaking through the trees. Then in his mind, he heard God speak to him: “Consider how easy it is for the Sun’s rays to break through the trees. Nothing stops the rise. Nothing stops the sun’s rays. Keep going.”
Monday Blessings: Christ’s Great Provision
In the Bible, Jesus speaks to his disciples about not worrying about provision. When you first read it, you think, “How can I NOT worry?” It’s human. But when you place your trust in Jesus Christ, you look beyond your circumstances and put your faith in a spiritual Father who promised to provide. Think of the person who took care of you or is taking care of you right now. Can you trust them? Do you trust them? You’ve probably heard them say, “If you need anything, come to me first.”
Jesus does the same in Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Earlier in the chapter, he’s discussing how people get worked up about food, clothes, and the future. It’s basic stuff we all think about. He points out how birds and flowers are living proof that God takes care of his creation, even when they are not in the hustle and bustle of the day like us.
He goes deeper: He is saying if you trust me, trust the process of provision for you. It’s going to be ok!. In other words: Stop chasing what everyone else is chasing. Your Father in Heaven knows what you need. Matthew 6:33 isn’t a call to do nothing—it’s an invitation to reorder what you’re chasing this week. Your Monday Blessings are already here. All you have to do is trust that God is in control.
Monday Blessings Can Be More
For those not of the faith, consider this: If you spend all your energy worrying and chasing after everything, you will be left with no energy for what you have right now. The more we stress about money, stuff, or success, the more anxious we become. However, when we stop and look at the bigger picture, we often realize it’s bad, but not as bad as we thought. Remember: It can always be worse, regardless of how you feel. When we build a solid foundation on positivity, motivation, and self-confidence, we can find a great deal of peace. Hang in there, don’t give up. That is how you make it through the day.
A Short Monday Blessings Prayer
Lord, thank you for a brand-new week. I am in a different place, but I know my Monday Blessings are on their way. I place this Monday in your hands—every task, every conversation, every challenge. Help me focus today. Please give me strength for what’s ahead, and peace for anything out of my control. Help me remember this. Let Your favor guide my steps and Your joy steady my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
