Five Below’s Tabletop Fire Pits Sparks Dangerous 2025 Recall

Tabletop Fire Pit Recall, Five Below, storefront from official website's press kit.

A popular budget retailer has pulled thousands of tabletop fire pits from shelves and issued a nationwide recall following reports of dangerous flame jetting and fire hazards. The recall, announced on September 18, 2025, affects approximately 66,000 units sold by Five Below both in-store and online between April 2024 and August 2025.

What Happened and Why It Matters

The tabletop fire pit models in question—one with a smooth black base and another with a beveled gray base—were found to pose serious risks during use. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), alcohol fuel can splash or leak from the reservoir during ignition, potentially causing a flash fire. This can result in flames escaping the unit, increasing the risk of severe burns and property damage.

Although only one incident of flame escape has been reported and no injuries confirmed, the potential for harm has prompted swift action from Five Below.
