“Food labels omit key information: whether a product is natural, processed or ultra-processed,” says Albert-Laszlo Barabasi. According to the study, the system found that 70% of the country’s food supply is “ultra-processed.  These types of food cause inflammation in the body and should not be eaten regularly. In a recent study by Northeastern University, an algorithm is recommended to determine unknown ingredients.
