Who doesn’t love nostalgic treats? Everyone has a sweet tooth and a love of candy, cake, ice cream, candy, and all things sweet. Nostalgia often gives us this feeling. As a girl growing up in the 90s, I grew up with a lot of candy that I love, and there are so many types of candy that I loved and wish I saw more of now, as an adult. As we take a trip down memory lane, six sweet treats are making a comeback. The six nostalgic treats that are making a comeback, and the ones I grew up with, give me a sense of comfort.
Candy in the 90s.
As kids growing up, we had a lot of candy that we loved. From Laffy Taffy, Butterfinger, Ring Pops, and so much more, which made us so happy. There are a lot of candies that make us nostalgic because they are no longer around. Whether the company has stopped making that particular sweet treat or they are trying new things with their recipes, it makes us miss what we grew up with even more. As an adult, still having a sweet tooth is great, although eating so much candy is bad, so eating in moderation is where sweets land.
Remember the game “Candy Land? Dreaming about candy was something in my school days, because always being able to share and have a sweet treat was so much fun. Yes, there was a balance of what’s good for you and what’s bad for you in my understanding of sweets, however sweets are something that isn’t misunderstood, it is a balance of sugar and having sweet treats in moderation for parents at the time, so not eating sweets all the time was normal in families at the time.
