5 Unique Affordable Valentine’s Day Gifts/Ideas

Valentine's, Valentine's Day, cute, couple, relationship, gift

Gentlemen, Valentine’s Day is coming up quickly, and the ladies may expect something special. Whether it’s not quite time to pop the big question or you have been married for a few years, this could save you! Maybe you can’t afford Uncle Jesse’s Full House hot air balloon ride. And maybe it is too cold for Shawn Hunter’s Boy Meets World outside picnic ideas. Maybe you don’t want to dress up like a giant heart chasing your love like Screech from Saved by the Bell!  So you may ask yourself, “What the hell do I do?” Well, I’ve got you covered, even if you waited until the last minute to plan something for Valentine’s.

  • Leave flowers on her windshield: It’s Valentine’s Day, so remember K.I.S.S.- Keep It Super Simple! That’s right! Buy some of their favorite flowers, or at least some pretty ones. Get up early and leave them on their windshields for when they go to work or out for the day. It’s easier if you live together, but if you don’t, knowing they took the time to get up early and go out of their way makes the gesture an even bigger surprise. Hopefully, she’s not running late or in a hurry to where it may be bad timing. Oops!
  • Fill a basket up with their faves: This could be a gift from either partner. Why wait for Easter to get a nice basket filled with things you love? Candy, snacks, a gift card, and maybe some wine could put the perfect smile on your partner’s face. This is a great idea to prove you listen and know your partner’s favorite little things. Add in something cute or funny that reminds you of that person. Every couple has their little things and inside jokes that they say or do privately. Make a cute little gift out of it.
  • Write a Letter or Poem: Write a letter as if you were in Middle School trying to tell your crush how you feel. Be completely honest about how they make you feel and what you love about them. If you’re really feeling frisky and want to show off your skills, write them a poem! If you’re not confident in your handwriting or it’s just sloppy, type it up and print it out. Choose a nice font and put it in a nice frame, a Valentine’s Day gift that lasts ages. Then, you can add some decor and a conversation piece that will always remind you of them.
  • Schedule a Massage for Them: Who doesn’t love a nice professional massage? Everyone has things they stress about, and this is a great idea to relieve some stress. This could also be a great opportunity for you to give your partner some much-needed alone time. Sometimes, it’s nice to get some time to yourself and relax your mind. They may really appreciate the gesture. If you want to schedule one together to spend even more time together, that would be great, too.
  • Get Some Snacks and Make a FortYou read that right! Go to the corner store, grab some of your guys’ favorite snacks, and maybe get some carryout. Put on some comfy clothes and make a fort. You guys can cuddle up and watch a movie! Who doesn’t love this cute idea? Build memories with your significant others, and pretend you are younger than your age says. Restore the puppy love of just being around the person you love.

Remember, people, you can do these gestures any day of the year. It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day or a special occasion to show your significant other you love them. Try doing one of these on a random day of the year and see how they react. It may be a little more special, but it doesn’t take much to put a smile on someone’s face. Thinking about someone’s gifts and a moment to brighten their day, holiday or not, makes memories that last forever.
